March saw the launch of our new SDA homes at Merrylands open.
We were delighted to welcome the Hon. Ray Williams MP, NSW Minister for Multiculturalism and Minister for Disability Services, to officially open seven brand new purpose-built homes for people with disability in Merrylands. He was joined by Ms Julia Finn MP, State Member for Granville, Councillor Greg Cummings, Mayor of Cumberland Council as well as Ms Annie Doyle, CEO of Civic Disability Services and Mr Lindsay Kelly, CEO of Independent Living Villages
As with all our developments, ILV homes are unique because they provide specialist accommodation for those with disability but also enable their family or carers to live with them as well – most existing disability accommodation is for a person with disability only. This will give NDIS participants choice and control of where, and with whom, they will live with.
